I know I promised you more on the yellow and blue sweater... using Quince & Co Finch and Baah Aspen. BUT......
I hate sleeves. And that's what is left to do on the sweater. Stupid sleeves. Why are they so annoying?? It seems like it would be just the same as knitting any other part of the sweater. But they so AREN'T.
So, yes, I am stalling. And while stalling I have designed a new piece. It's a sleeveless sweater/tank. But I get ahead of myself. Let me introduce you to Billow.

It's by Knit Picks and it's a lovely chunky cotton yarn. Very different to be chunky AND cotton. And of course I couldn't leave well enough alone... so I TRIPLE stranded the design. Yep. Super duper ultimate chunky!
It's thick, it's chunky, it's quick and it's super easy! I think it took me a total of about 6 hours to knit the entire garment. I like it! But more on that in a minute. Geez... I keep going straight to the tank... must talk about yarn FIRST!
Here's the label for you to get the 'feel' for this yarn:

You can see that it is listed as a bulky weight. And 100% cotton. This yarn feels amazing! However, it is a SOFT and LOOSELY spun cotton. I have a feeling that much piling/shedding will be coming in my future. Of course, I am only guessing... but it seems imminent. We'll have to wait and see.
As it stands right now, I do enjoy the yarn. For a cotton. It's definitely very wearable. And I adore how the tank came out (oh see, there I go again!). So I am very happy with it all in all. However, I don't work in cotton much. And so I don't see a lot of it in my future. I have some yarn leftover, so I am planning on working a tighter (one strand) project with it just to see the difference. It is kinda hard to give an adequate review when I have done something pretty out of the box with the yarn! Gotta be fair! :)
OK... NOW can I talk about the tank??? YES???? Well. I had to wait. So now you do too. Just kidding! Just see my next post - I'll post these together. Instant gratification! My favorite kind!
